308 GTi II BIG TURBO

The Peugeot 308 GTi II 270 from factory has Mahle forged pistons and connecting rods, the engine code is EP6CDTR.

 

The engine is essentialy the same 1.6L used on the Peugeot 200THP & 208THP. (EP6CDTX/FX). The block, head, valves, fuel pump, injectors & intake are the same as the 308 GTi II.

TURBOSMART EBOOST CONTROLLER

FEATURES:

• 2 Boost Settings: easily selected via the “turn-and-push” button. An external switch can also be used to change between boost groups if required.

• Boost Correction Factor: eliminates boost drop off at high RPM.

• 3 Segment Display: with adjustable brightness can be configured for PSI, KPa, or BAR and will flash when warning of over boost shutdown or rev limit, allowing the unit to be used as a boost gauge, tachometer, or a shift light.

• Maximum Boost Level: 40PSI / 2.72BAR.

SUPPLIED WITH:

e-Boost STREET control unit. Wiring loom + installation kit. Solenoid with mounting bracket and vacuum fittings, vacuum hose and hose clamps

LARGE FUEL INJECTORS

The 208 GTi & 308 GTi share the same fuel pump which has a limit of 1.5bar. When needing to flow more fuel for high power it has to be at a lower pressure since the hpfp's are reported to be unstable at 1.5bar. The OE fuel injectors and HPFP max out at 300hp. A solution to this is to fit larger injectors.

SUPERTECH FORGED INLET VALVES

Set of 8 Supertech black nitrided stainless steel one piece inlet valves suitable for the EP6 1.6 16v petrol turbo engine.

 

One piece valves are essential for engines regularly exceeding 8000rpm to reduce risk of engine failure and high power turbo applications.

Made as a one piece forged valve for higher strength and reliability, Supertech use mostly EV8 (21-4N) for Intake and Exhaust valves but there are other alloys that we use along with different heat treatments to manufacture valves for different applications.

SUPERTECH FORGED OVERSIZED EXHAUST VALVES

Set of 8 Supertech Sodium filled Inconel one piece stainless steel exhaust valves suitable for the EP6 1.6 16v petrol turbo engine typically found in the Peugeot 308 GTI II 

 

One piece valves are essential for engines regularly exceeding 8000rpm to reduce risk of engine failure and high power turbo applications.

 

Valve Diameter: 27.0mm (26.2mm standard size)

 

Stem: 4.95mm

 

Length: 110.15mm

 

Made as a one piece forged valve for higher strength and reliability, Supertech use mostly EV8 (21-4N) for Intake and Exhaust valves but there are other alloys that we use along with different heat treatments to manufacture valves for different applications.

308 GTi BIG TURBOS

The T25 54mm frame GBT is suited for smaller capacity engines; around 1.6-2.0 litre.

 

They are capable of producing engine outputs up to 530bhp. The wide range of compressor wheel sizes and turbine housing options available for this unit means it can be customised for many applications and is a popular choice for twin turbocharging.

 

Owen Developments are excited to include Zircotec performance white ceramic coating as standard on our range of performance turbos, this agreement brings further value added quality and performance to our range of turbos creating the highest specification/quality performance turbochargers out of the box.

 

The range of turbos have a ported shroud with a NT3.3 0.64 A/R housing using a T25 flange to a manifold & 5 Bolt to exhuast hot side which suit our downpipes and manifolds.

 

Fitted with Turbosmart Wastegate (choice of 0.8,1.0 or 1.2bar) & 3" U_Joint + clamp

 

There are variants in the range such as 0.58 A/R paired with a 0.60 A/R
